You Need To Know:

We love our customers! We want you to be happy and fully understand our process. To that end, all transactions with The Pasture Farms will be subject to the following terms and conditions. By purchasing from The Pasture Farms, you consent to these terms and conditions. There are no exceptions to these terms and conditions, so please be sure you understand them and are willing to agree to them prior to placing an order. If you have any issue with these terms please do not make a purchase.

Pickup Date, Process and Location:

We do not ship. After placing an order, when your order is about ready we will contact you by phone or email to schedule a pickup date.  We process orders as we receive them so place your order as soon as you can to improve your place in line. Orders can take anywhere from a day to months to fill if an item is on backorder. Please understand we are working with living creatures that do not follow a production schedule. We do our best to estimate availability but our timing is subject to change due to many factors outside our control such as laying rate, hatch rate, ratio of males/females etc. We keep small breeding flocks and unexpected events can have a major impact on availability. Occasionally we can offer substitutions to fill orders more quickly, and will contact you to determine your preference. For biosecurity reasons we do not offer pickup at the farm. We meet just off highway 75 in a large parking lot behind Taco Bell (2943 Canton Road Marietta, GA 30066).

Return Policy:

There are no returns on chicks or eggs. Unsexed chicks means just that. They are unsexed and there is simply NO way to estimate the number of males or females. For very large sample sizes (thousands of chicks) Male/female ratios are typically 50/50. In small quantities anything is possible.

Guarantee: We will guarantee your chicks for 48 hours after you take possession. If your birds die within 48 hours after delivery, at our discretion we will provide replacements or refund the price paid for the chicks that died. To be eligible for a refund or replacement we must be made aware of your losses within 48 hours and be provided photos of any deceased birds.

Vaccinations and Disease:

All chicks we hatch will be vaccinated for Mareks unless otherwise requested. It is always recommended to quarantine new birds regardless of the source for 30 days. A local flock can be resistant to a specific disease that new birds will not have resistance to. Disease in poultry is very complicated and can originate from wild birds, from within a flock or be carried by shoes or tires.

Cancellations:
If you must cancel your order once payment has been made, a 15% fee will be deducted to cover processing fees we pay to the credit card companies and time spent behind the scenes preparing for your order. To request a cancellation, email the order number and the reason. In the case of unforeseen circumstances, The Pasture Farms may need to cancel an order and we reserve the right to do so.  We keep small breeding flocks and unexpected events could have a major impact on availability.  If your order is canceled, we will issue a complete refund.

Reasonable expectations:

You can expect birds from a strong genetic line. Almost no bird is perfect and will look or lay eggs exactly like their parents. We have excellent breeding lines and see quality chicks but it would be very unrealistic to expect exact replicas of the parent stock and eggs. Due to the complicated nature of genetics there is always a chance of unexpected variability. We breed primarily for egg color, our personal aesthetics and vigor. If you are looking for show quality birds there is likely a better breeder for you as we do not focus on SOP breeding. We do our best to maintain diverse genetics but it is worth noting that for extremely rare breeds the likelihood of problems from inbreeding increases. Some of our breeds come from lines where the global population is very low. We do our best to remove issues from our program, but fertility, egg quantity and disease resistance can be factors to consider for rare breeds. We do our best to provide healthy birds but there are many reasons beyond our control why chicks may not survive not limited to care circumstances or exposure to unknown disease in a new flock. For these reasons we do not offer refunds beyond the 48-hour guarantee.
